PDO threads aren’t new; they’ve been used in the medical world for decades during both surgical and medical procedures. What Do Treatments Feel Like?

First, a local anesthetic and a topical numbing agent will be applied to your treatment area to ensure optimal comfort. Then, an ultra-fine needle will be used to administer the threads. How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?

The benefit of a PDO thread lift is that the treatment time is quick. Your appointment will only take 15 to 30 minutes to complete and you’ll be able to go right back to your normal daily activities.

How Do I Prepare for My Treatment?

Before your treatment, you’ll need to avoid taking some supplements and engaging in certain activities for two days pre-treatment so that you are prepared and ready for your treatment. You should:

• Avoid drinking alcohol
• Temporarily stop taking certain supplements like Ginko, omega fish oil supplements, vitamin E
• Temporarily stop engaging in high-intensity workouts
• Avoid steam rooms and saunas

Are There Any Aftercare Instructions?

To get the best results post-treatment, we’ll ask you to follow a few directives. You must avoid dental appointments or anything that would require that you hold your mouth open for an extended period for two weeks post-treatment. You should also make sure that you sleep on your back for at least two weeks to avoid putting pressure on the treatment area.

How Long Will the Threads Last?

Typically, the threads will dissolve six to nine months post-treatment.

When Will I Begin to Notice Results?

Many patients notice an immediate difference in their problem areas right after the treatment. The most immediate, visible results are tighter, lifted skin as well as the contouring effects that come from the PDO threads.

How Long Will It Take to See the Final Results?

Final results typically appear within one to two months of your initial treatment. Your final results are dependent upon several factors, including your age. As a result, younger patients will see notice their results sooner than older patients.

Will I Need Multiple Treatments?
