If you want to enjoy the benefits of a skin peel but don’t want to hide away while your skin repairs, now you can! Our chemical peels offer skin remodeling for all kinds of skin conditions and problems on any area of the face or body.
Lighter (Superficial) peels remove the surface layers of the skin and encourage the creation of new layers, for smoother, more luminous skin. The treatment will improve and enhance your skin’s clarity, tone and texture, which leaves you looking fresh faced and younger.
My Cosmetc clinic offers professional strength Aspect Dr peels to suit each individual goal:
Alpha hydroxy acids (known as a Glycolic Peel) are water-soluble and naturally found in many fruits. They peel away the surface of your skin, giving your face a smoother, rejuvenated look and feel. If your skin is prone to breakouts or dark spots an AHA Glycolic peel may be a suitable option in targeting these problem areas. AHA’s require extra caution if you have sensitive skin, so we recommend a consult with a professional to achieve your best result.
Beta hydroxy acid (more commonly known as salicylic acid) is oil-soluble and so unlike AHAs, it can get deeper into the pores of your skin to remove dead skin cells. Designed for daily use, it has antibacterial properties and helps to regulate sebum production, which makes it ideal for anyone suffering from acne-prone skin or those who have suffered sun damage.
Retinol is a form of vitamin A, which is often used in skincare products as it encourages the growth of skin cells. Designed to treat sun damage and acne scarring, they also have great anti-ageing benefits, as retinol can reduce the occurrence of fine lines and wrinkles. Retinol peels are often used to enhance the effects of other chemical peels.
Skin peels dissolve skin cells on the surface and temporarily open up microscopic “gaps” between the skin cells, which allow the peels to penetrate to the deeper layers where it’s needed. There are a number of different types and strengths of peels available so we’ll discuss which option is best for you at your initial consultation.
There are a great number of benefits to choosing chemical peels for your skin treatment:
Our practitioners will provide you with expert advice and a complimentary consultation prior to proceeding with your treatment, to best discuss your goals and options in more detail.
Chemical peels can be carried out on most areas of the body to address a number of different cosmetic issues. Some of the most common areas are:
Typically our chemical peels are a course of 3 to 5 sessions. One every 10 days to 2 weeks and are preceded by one month of skin preparation. However, depending on the extent of your problem or the size of the area involved, it may be necessary to have more than one type and/or more than one course of peels.
Each treatment is usually approximately 20-30 minutes long. However, this also includes any preparation and post-procedure treatments.
The beauty of a chemical peel is that there are few obvious signs of treatment. Generally, there is minor swelling and redness post-peel, however, the areas of treated skin may feel a little drier than normal, which can be helped by using the products provided. Sunscreen is also highly recommended for daily use during and after the course.
The recovery and downtime after a chemical peel will depend on which type of procedure you have had:
Light Peels – Any treated areas will take anywhere between about 1 to 6 days to heal. The new skin may be temporarily lighter or darker than usual.
Medium Peels – Any treated areas will take anywhere between 7 to 14 days to heal, however, the redness could possibly last for a month.
Deep Peels – Any treated areas will develop new skin after approximately 2 weeks, although redness may last for months. Treated skin may be temporarily lighter or darker than usual.
You may prefer to remain at home while healing from a deep chemical peel and we advise that you attend some follow-up visits soon after your treatment, so we can monitor your healing.
Depending on your specific skin type and goals, you may see results after one peel, but the course is designed to work over 3 months so it’s then you’ll see the optimum effects.
The total cost of your treatment varies depending on which procedures you choose to have. We offer a range of different options starting from $119 up to $600. So in order to determine exactly how much the treatment would be for you, the best course of action is to book a consultation with us, during which we’ll discuss the available options.
At My Cosmetic Clinic, our mission is to not only just satisfy but to exceed our client’s expectations. We ensure we treat every customer as an individual and strive to provide an exceptional, tailored service that uses the latest, most advanced techniques at an affordable price.

When performed by a trained professional, chemical peels are a very safe procedure. However, some of the possible risks and side effects include: change in skin colour, redness, flaking, swelling and infection.
There are a number of ways you can prepare your skin prior to treatment and these will be discussed with you at your consultation.
Traditionally those with fair or lighter skin tones were the most suitable for chemical peels, however, those with darker skin can also achieve good results with a superficial peel.
Sun protection is extremely important after treatment as your skin is much more sensitive to ultraviolet light.
Peels generally produce a temporary strong tingling sensation that passes quickly and is well controlled by our cooling procedures.
