If you are planning a pregnancy in the near future, you may want to postpone your breast implant surgery, as pregnancy and breastfeeding may affect results.
Breast augmentation involves inserting silicone breast implants (prostheses), either under the breast tissue and above the chest muscle (submammary) or under both the breast tissue and the muscle (subpectoral).
The most common approach is through a small incision under each breast, within the breast crease. Breast implants may also be inserted via an incision around the areola (the pigmented area surrounding the nipple), or in the armpit.
Placement is usually based on the amount of natural breast tissue you have. At your consultation, our practitioner will discuss which approach may be most suitable for you.

The amount of pain or discomfort you experience depends on the type of surgical technique used, the incision site, and the placement location for your implants.
People have varying pain thresholds; however, in most cases, discomfort is usually well tolerated with pain relief medication.
Following your surgery, your practitioner will prescribe appropriate pain relief medication for you, allowing you to manage any discomfort you might experience.
