During your Skinboosters treatment session, a dose of the filler will be injected into the area or areas of concern. The hyaluronic acid molecules will begin to absorb water up to 200 times its weight, hydrating the skin from the inside out. The effects of Skinboosters are gradual and subtle, with the full effect taking up to three months to become visible. SKINBOOSTERS™ is like many other fillers in that it contains hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin. The main difference is particle size. SKINBOOSTERS™ is made of millions of tiny particles which attract water. As such, it doesn’t really fill the face but adds to hydration. Other fillers have larger particle sizes, which creates more of a filling effect.
SKINBOOSTERS™ contains 20mg of HA and lidocaine.
The recommended use is 2-3mls per session. It lasts up to 6 months. In extremely crepey skin you may need to do a treatment at 6-12 weeks. It is ideal for sun-damaged skin, accordion lines in the lower face, and crepey hands.
Treatment should occur every six months, but see above for extremely crepey skin. Some people do it as a one-off before an important event.

The needle may cause some mild bruising and swelling. There may also be some generalised swelling for the first two weeks.
