Aesthetic breasts are one of the hallmarks of youth and femininity. If genetics didn’t give you the breasts you’ve always wanted, there is a procedure that can. At My Cosmetic Clinic, with locations conveniently located throughout the New South Wales area, we offer breast augmentation to help you achieve your ideal breasts. Thanks to this completely customizable procedure, the breasts of your dreams are completely within your reach.

Am I Too Old for Breast Augmentation?

Typically, breast augmentation does not have an age limit. However, it’s important to note that younger patients often achieve better results simply because they have better skin elasticity. Creating changes in your breasts to improve their shape, size, and proportions requires the skin to stretch to accommodate more prominent breasts.

Anything that requires the skin to contour and mould to a new shape also requires skin elasticity. Your collagen and elastin levels are higher when you are younger, but your body produces far less of these essential proteins as you age. As a result, younger patients, by default, have increased collagen and elastin levels which may help them achieve a better outcome than older patients.

Age Isn’t the Primary Qualification

You are not excluded from this procedure if you are older. Scheduling an initial consultation is the best way to determine if your age is a factor in determining your eligibility for this procedure. During this consultation, you will meet with one of our expert practitioners who will not only explain the procedure, but will review your medical history, assess the current state of your breasts, and learn more about your aesthetic goals.

Your expectations, goals, and physical health all play a role in determining whether this procedure is right for you. Once we determine that you possess all of the eligibility requirements, we will schedule your treatment plan and move forward with customizing your procedure.

Customizing Your Procedure

Breast augmentation is a completely customizable procedure. During the consultation process, you will work with Dr. Ansari to design your treatment plan. He will help you choose the right implant size and shape and help you design your procedure and customize both your implant and the surgical methods.

One of the most important factors involved in customizing your augmentation is choosing an implant size. Sometimes women have a particular size in mind. Still, once they schedule an in-person consultation and see the implants up close and listen to recommendations from the surgeon, they find that they may choose to go larger or smaller than they originally intended.

While size is a matter of preference, different factors should be considered, including your frame, body structure, and proportions.

The shape of your implant is another important factor you need to consider when choosing an implant. When you attend an initial consultation, you will learn more about the importance of choosing the right shape and how it can affect your outcome. Dr Ansari will walk you through the process to ensure that you are aware of your options and can make the right implant choice to best help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

The Augmentation Process

Your Procedure

Once you undergo the consultation process and design your treatment plan, we will schedule your procedure. During your procedure, your chosen implant will be surgically inserted into one of two different positions. Implants can be inserted under the breast tissue on top of the chest muscle, which is known as the sub-mammary method. It can also be inserted below the breast tissue and muscle, which is known as the sub-pectoral method.

Insertion Methods

Different methods can be used to insert the implant. The most common method involves the creation of a small incision beneath each breast crease. Other common insertion locations include the areola and the armpit. Each method is designed to create an incision that will not leave you with a noticeable scar.

Dr Ansari will choose the right insertion method and implant location when you develop your treatment plan so that you can achieve the best results. Once the implant is inserted in your preferred location, the incision will be closed, and you will begin your recovery. The actual procedure itself takes approximately one hour to complete. However, from the administration of the anesthesia to the recovery, the entire procedure takes three to four hours in total.

Is There Any Pain?

This procedure takes place at an accredited hospital in the Sydney area. Before your procedure begins, anesthesia will be administered. You will not feel any pain during the procedure since you’ll be asleep for its entirety. We will also take every step necessary to ensure your comfort throughout your recovery.

Your Recovery

Once you undergo this procedure, your results will be evident immediately. When your surgery is over, the nursing staff will ensure that you are completely comfortable and have everything you need before returning home. You will need someone who can drive you to and from your appointment since you will still be experiencing the residual effects of anesthesia.

You will be provided with both in-person and face-to-face instructions on the aftercare directives so that you know exactly how to take care of your new breasts, what to avoid, and how to achieve the best possible recovery.

Your Aftercare

One of our nurses will contact you the day after your procedure to answer any questions you may have and ensure that you are doing well. You can expect to spend eight to ten days resting and recovering before returning to work. We will schedule a follow-up appointment to meet with Dr. Ansari to discuss any questions you may have and ensure that you are happy with your final outcome.

Your Results

You can expect immediate results after your procedure is complete. You will get a better idea of how your new breasts will look once the healing process is complete. All of our procedures are performed with premium quality implants backed with warranties.

Typically, breast implants will last up to ten years. During your initial consultation, we can provide you with a better idea of how long you can expect your results to last and what steps you need to take once those ten years have passed.

Reasons To Consider This Procedure

Breast augmentation is a popular cosmetic procedure because it can help women achieve their aesthetic goals in a way that other methods cannot. Women both young and old who have been born with genetically smaller breasts or who have always wanted more proportionate breasts can choose to undergo this surgery to improve their appearance and confidence.

Women who have disproportionate or uneven breasts or other visual imperfections choose this procedure to address symmetry and proportion issues. This procedure is also a solution for women who have lost a significant amount of breast tissue due to surgical procedures during cancer treatment. It can help restore what cancer has taken and, in doing so, help them feel feminine and beautiful again.

Choosing Your Surgeon

Cosmetic surgery is not a decision that should be taken lightly. You must consider multiple factors when choosing your surgeon. You want to choose an office with an experienced and qualified surgeon, a capable and caring nursing staff, and a practice committed to your aftercare.

When you choose My Cosmetic Clinic for your breast augmentation or any other elective cosmetic procedure, you can rest assured that you will get the best possible care both during and after your procedure.
